While it might seem like a no-brainer that if you want to accelerate quickly in Rocket League, you should combine boosting with dodging, there’s a good way to do it, and then there’s a better way to do it.
I’ll show you the better way 🙂
Boosting accelerates your car at a constant rate, while dodging provides instant gains in speed. From a complete standstill, three dodges in the forward direction will accelerate you to super-sonic speed. With the trick I show you in the video, you can reach super-sonic speed in just two dodges — all while utilizing your boost in the most efficient manner possible.
Boost is one of the only resources in the game (aside from time) that you need to manage. This makes it that much more crucial that you manage it effectively. Wasting this resource unnecessarily could mean the difference between reaching the ball in time for an epic save or giving up a free goal.
Positioning is another crucial factor in Rocket League. Making sure that you are in the right place at the right time is vital for creating plays. Use the technique I show you to make sure you’re never caught out of place!
