Nestled inside one of the most historic cities in the world last weekend was an event focused on the future. TwitchCon may have been a celebration for streamers, but it was also a great indicator of where streaming technology is heading and why it’s so important to gaming. And despite being the first event of its kind, it’s clear from the turnout that this will definitely not be the last.
I attended about a dozen panels that covered a variety of topics and will be blogging about some of my favorites this week. Among the things I want to discuss are the plans we have for the NZXT Twitch channel, how streamers should go about getting sponsored by hardware manufacturers, and why we are choosing to invest our time and resources into this emerging medium. There’s a lot to write about so stay tuned!
In the meantime, take a look at some of my favorite pictures from the event and tune in to to twitch.tv/nzxt later today at 5PM PST to hear more about my TwitchCon experience.
