Last week I explained the difference between the NZXT Kraken Series liquid coolers but now it’s time to go over our new Aer Series fans!
The NZXT Aer Series fans feature a new chamfered design with greater intake size for more cooling. Available in three different varieties, the Aer fan you choose to install on your PC will depend on what you need it for. If you’re looking for a fan with less drag, quieter operation, and possibly fancy lighting, this blog post is for you.
Here’s the difference between Aer Series fans:
The Aer F performance fan is designed to maximize airflow through your build. Engineered to move air efficiently, it features a chamfered intake and exhaust for high volume airflow, and winglet-designed blades to reduce drag. The Aer F uses fluid dynamic bearing to provide silent operations, long-lasting durability, and powerful cooling performance with color customization.
Aer F is available in 120mm and 140mm sizes. It also features changeable color trim (sold separately) available in red, white, and blue.
MSRP: Starting at $17.99 USD
The Aer P high static pressure fan is designed for liquid-cooling perfection. Engineered to maximize the cooling potential of radiators, it also features a chamfered intake and exhaust for high-performance airflow and winglet-designed blades to improve drag efficiency. And just like the Aer F, the Aer P uses fluid dynamic bearing to provide silent operations, long-term durability, and achieve powerful cooling performance.
Aer P is available in 120mm and 140mm sizes. It also features changeable color trim (sold separately) available in red, white, and blue.
MSRP: Starting at $16.99 USD
Designed to integrate seamlessly with HUE+, the Aer RGB fan provides optimal airflow and advanced lighting customizations. Group and daisy chain up to five fans per channel from the HUE+ for extensive lighting modes that work in perfect harmony. Select and modify over 10 lighting effects with ease using CAM’s software interface. The Aer RGB fans feature fluid dynamic bearings and winglet tips that deliver enhanced performance and minimize noise levels.
Aer RGB is available in 120mm and 140mm sizes. It doesn’t feature changeable color trim because it uses LEDs instead.
MSRP: $29.99 USD
Which Aer Series Fan Should You Get?
As you can see from the description and pictures above, each Aer Series fan is different despite having a similar name. The one you choose will depend on your needs but it’s not that complicated to figure out once you understand the differences.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the Aer Series fans to help you decide:
Case Cooling w/Color Trim: Aer F
Radiator Cooling w/Color Trim: Aer P
Case Cooling w/RGB: Aer RGB
