You may have seen our N7 Z370 product page and read up on the key features, but what exactly does it all mean? If you seek the answer to this question, you’ve come to the right place. This blog post will help you understand what makes the N7 Z370 so extraordinary and why you should use it for your next build.

What Are N7 Z370 Motherboard Smart Controls?

Everything you need is ready out of the box and elegantly controlled through CAM software. The N7 includes key features from our HUE+ and GRID+ digital controllers allowing intuitive control for two RGB lighting channels and nine fan channels through CAM.

To sum that up, the HUE+ and GRID+ are built right into the N7 Z370 motherboard. No, that’s not a typo. You can now control all of your Aer RGB fans and LED strips without needing the HUE+ LED controller. You can also control 9 fans and set individual custom curves without needing the GRID+ fan controller. The N7 Z370 motherboard also includes Adaptive Noise Reduction (ANR) technology which automatically sets custom fan curves for your PC!

HUE+ Smart Control Features

The N7 Z370 motherboard includes 2 RGB headers and each of these connections are capable of supporting either 5 Aer RGB fans or 4 HUE+ strips. This means you can have 5 Aer RGB fans and 4 LED strips, or 10 Aer RGB fans, or 8 LED strips. The only time you will need more internal RGB is if you want your PC to be seen from outer space.

GRID+ Smart Control Features

The N7 Z370 motherboard includes 9 fan headers. Again, this is not a typo. When’s the last time you’ve counted 9 fan headers on your motherboard? Gone are the days of trying to find enough connections or looking for an Internal USB HUB for your case fans. Also, feel free to throw away your fan splitter. They are no longer needed here. You can also manually adjust the fan speeds and set custom fan curves for each channel.

Adaptive Noise Reduction Features

Adaptive Noise Reduction, or ANR for short, is another Smart Feature that’s built right into the N7 Z370 motherboard. This technology uses a noise sensor to measure and learn the specifics of your system in order to find the ideal balance between fan speeds and cooling. Best of all, it’s automatic. You simply start the configuration and let it do it’s thing. It’s always learning and adapting so you will never have to worry about revisiting your fan curves or making adjustments to each profile. As usual, you don’t have to use any CAM features you don’t want to so ANR is optional if you want to keep it old school and do it yourself.

Why Did We Add Smart Controls To The N7 Z370 Motherboard?

Now that you are familiar with the N7 motherboard’s Smart Features, let’s look at the benefits of having them built right onto the motherboard. One obvious benefit is the cost. You won’t have to purchase LED or fan controllers separately which would cost your around $100 depending on where you shop. Another benefit of including Smart Features is having simplified cable management and achieving an overall clean aesthetic. You won’t have to deal with any external power or USB cables and won’t have to physically install any of these accessories. Go home molex PSU cable, you are no longer needed here. If that’s not easy mode, we don’t know what is.
