In this build guide, we will be focusing on World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo III and Heroes of the Storm.

The purpose of this build guide is to help you determine which PC is best for you based on your specific needs, budget, and desired performance. In this build guide, you will find details on each build and their associated part lists in order to help you build or buy your perfect gaming PC. We’ve taken all of the guesswork out of the part selection thanks to FPS data provided by our PC monitoring app so that you can be confident when choosing the right system!

If you’re already familiar with these games and know how to build, take a look at the specs below and start building. If you don’t know how to build, we can teach you how build your own computer and we’ve also included links to BLD where you can get a custom gaming PC with guaranteed FPS performance built by our experts!

Which Blizzard Games Do You Want to Play?

Blizzard Entertainment is known for producing some of the best games on the market and the four games covered in this build guide have earned that title. What’s even more impressive is that Blizzard has proven their skills by creating amazing games of varying game types. They have perfected their MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), Team-Based Shooters, Action-RPGs, RTS’ (Real-Time Strategy) and finally their MOBAs (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena).

Whether you prefer to spend countless hours raiding in World of Warcraft, shooting your enemies for a few quick rounds in Overwatch, battling toe-to-toe for 25 minutes in Heroes of the Storm or farming Diablo III demons somewhere in between, Blizzard has the game for you. If all of that sounds exciting but you can’t decide on which one you’d like to play, don’t worry because each of our systems will allow you to play them all. The only thing you need to decide on is which one to play first! Let’s take a look at the minimum requirements and the systems we’ve prepared for this guide.[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h2″ looks_like=”h3″ accent=”false”]Minimum System Requirements[/x_custom_headline][cs_block_grid type=”four-up”][cs_block_grid_item title=”Block Grid Item 1″][/cs_block_grid_item][cs_block_grid_item title=”Block Grid Item 2″][/cs_block_grid_item][cs_block_grid_item title=”Block Grid Item 3″][/cs_block_grid_item][cs_block_grid_item title=”Block Grid Item 4″][/cs_block_grid_item][/cs_block_grid][cs_text]

It includes the minimum 8GB of RAM and a 1TB HDD for storage. The storage space is nice but it’s missing an SSD which would help the system feel snappier when navigating the OS. While it may be classified as entry level, it’s still capable of consistently pumping out 60+ FPS across all titles and even surpassing 100 FPS in Diablo III and Heroes of the Storm. This system also comes with a Kraken X52 to keep your CPU nice and cool. If you want smoother gameplay and even higher framerates, or an SSD for increased speeds, check out System 2 and System 3.[/cs_text][/cs_column][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” all of these Blizzard titles with the best framerates while pushing past the 100 FPS mark, then this is the build for you. Instead of using an i5-7500 like the previous two builds, we’ve upgraded to an i7-7700k and a GTX 1080 in order to get the highest framerates and smoothest gameplay. Compared to System 1 and System 2, you will gain a framerate increase from anywhere between 33-81% and 15-38% respectively. This build also comes with a 1TB SSD for even more space for storing games and the Kraken X62 on the GPU for even greater cooling performance during those long gaming sessions. We’ve also stepped up the power supply to the EVGA 650W unit in order to provide more overhead for the hardware upgrade. extremely well across all titles and will allow you to play all 3 games with 100+ FPS. This system is recommended to any gamer who prefers maximum graphical settings and the highest framerates without compromise. World of Warcraft and Diablo III and Heroes of the Storm scale dramatically well when comparing system 2 and system 3.

System 2 is ideal for any gamer who doesn’t plan on spending $2000 but still wants to experience these Blizzard titles on a gaming PC that performs well within the 60-80 FPS range. As you can see from the chart above when comparing system 1 and 2, World of Warcraft and Overwatch scale well but you will gain little difference in Diablo III and Heroes of the Storm. If you plan on playing either of those two titles exclusively, look into system 1 and save yourself some money.

System 1 is recommended for the entry level gamer who’s looking to get into PC gaming with solid performance while still experiencing the recommended 60 FPS minimum across all titles. However, you may still dip below 60 FPS during intense scenes in both World of Warcraft and Overwatch so be sure to keep that in mind when making your selection.
