ESL Cologne will feature the best talent from all over the world, and within that talent, are elite riflers. These riflers are the best of the best, and are the most feared men in the server. With a few quick decisions and fast reactions, these men can change the outcome of a match. Here are the top 5 riflers attending ESL Cologne.
NiKo doesn’t just use the rifle, he defines it. NiKo is the pillar that holds up Mousesports. When he’s having a good game, anything goes in his book. Whether it’s running up mid with a deagle and no armor, or rushing B with a rifle and no grenades, NiKo will find a way to make it work, and he’ll make you pay.
NiKo is the opposite of an onliner. His play on LAN is so much better than his play online, and that’s because he always delivers when it matters the most. On LAN from 2016, NiKo has had a 1.28 KD ratio with a 1.26 rating, one of the highest ratings in the game right now.
This 19 year old from Bosnia could very well be the best player at ESL Cologne 2016, but unfortunately, he doesn’t have a chance at winning the grand final. He doesn’t have a great supporting cast and it’s unfortunate, but if NiKo continues to play as well as he does, the future can only get brighter.
Coldzera was the MVP at MLG Columbus, and rightfully so. His play with the rifle is god-like, and there’s almost no one in the world that can outmatch him. He’s a huge reason for his teams success, as the amount of frags that he contributes each game is extraordinary.
He’s had a 1.37 KD ratio and a 1.23 rating from 2016. Not only is he a good fragger, but he does it consistently too. He rarely ever has a bad game, so you know what you’re getting every time he plays.
Considering the fact that Coldzera averages 0.59 deaths per round and has a 1.37 KD, there’s no debate that Coldzera is one of the best riflers in the world. He will definitely be one of the best players at ESL Cologne 2016.
Olofmeister had to take a break from Counter-Strike for a few months due to a wrist injury, but when he came back, the community gave him the best welcome-back the game has ever seen. There’s a reason why he’s one of the most loved players in Counter-Strike, and it’s because he can do literally everything.
Olofmeister is the face you see when you imagine Fnatic, one of the greatest teams in the history of the game. He’s the one that leads them into battle, and he’s the one that picks them up when they’re down. Even with his absence from play, Olofmeister has retained one of the best KD ratios and ratings in the game. His current KD is 1.26 and his rating is 1.19.
Fnatic has always been the team to watch at Major events, and ESL Cologne 2016 will be no different — especially with Olofmeister once again leading the way.
The past few months have been shox’s rise to fame. He was once the greatest player in the world, an now he’s back to reclaim his title. He has led G2 to become one of the best teams in the world, even ranking 2nd on the HLTV rankings. Their success is all because of shox and the work that he has put in. He has utterly dominated matches and has re-crowned himself as the most feared player in the game.
Shox has once again found himself at the center of attention, and his plays are the reason for it. He creates such difficult scenarios for himself yet he almost always comes out on the winning side. A player like Shox is extremely rare.
His stats have been impressive, and in 2016 he has hosted a 1.18 KD with a 1.13 rating.
Flamie used to be a player that people would always be picked as an “up and comer”. He was great on his teams before Na’Vi, but now, he has finally earned his title as a superstar. His play with the rifle is extremely crucial for Na’Vi as he compliments GuardiaN in creating one of the best duo’s in the game. He has guided Na’Vi through countless tournament runs and has always left as a winner in the stats book.
So far, Flamie has had a 1.16 KD ratio and a 1.11 rating. He is an exclusive rifler, and never picks up the awp. At ESL Cologne 2016, Flamie will definitely be a player to look out for. If Na’Vi is going to win their first major, Flamie will have to be the lynch pin.
ESL Cologne is the world’s largest CS:Go tournament that unites thousands of fans to experience the world’s best players live. Tune in July 5-10 2016 live from the LANXESS Arena in Cologne, Germany.
